Weekly Relfection #2
The second week brought us a lot more of the hands on stuff. We decided that it would be pertinent to begin detailing cars. We began by cleaning both of our cars. This process taught us alot about conservation of product. We understood that we wanted to do the best possible job with a minimal amount of product use. Chemicals are expensive so this lesson was crucial to keeping margins optimal. We applied the amount of chemical use to the spread sheet that we created. Then we began to do other cars. It was during these cars where we really nailed down the process that we did things in when detailing. It is super important to have a set order of things to do when on a job site to be as time efficient as possible. This is where we understood and applied the lesson of time is money. When detailing my dads car we decided that doing the car from the inside out would be best. This process allowed us to have a set number of tools out when doing the inside and then replace them with the hose and chemicals meant for the outside when doing the outside. This is how it worked when done. The second week taught us of the physical side of the business. We did a lot of comparing of how the physical side effected the digital and social media side of the business. We began to understand how the two interacted which really helped us make important decisions on how both sides should run.
